After a 12h car drive through Germany we reached Duiven - between Nijmwegen and Arnheim - in the province of Gelderland - in the south east of the Netherlands.
These were our day trips:
Bicycle tour along the rivers close to the German boarder to Fort Pannerden
1,5h drive to the ocean side at Den Haag/ The Hague and the beach of Scheveningen
Exploring the Dutch fish kitchen :-)
Visiting the beautiful town of Delft:
The "Openlucht Museum" of Dutch history near Arnheim
And a must see: AMSTERDAM!
With the train via Arnheim and Utrecht
The look out tower A'dam at the Ij with an over the edge swing
Walking tour and boat ride along the Canals (Gracht) through the city
Visiting the beautiful town of Nijmegen
and hiking over sand dunes of Posbank in the natural park Veluwe
